Re: OBB-WHEELERS SATURDAY RIDE REPORT
The latest iteration of the Oak Bay ride saw lots of hungry riders. I could tell from the ride out to Sidney that souls were on the menu and riders were nervous that theirs wouldn't remain intact by the finish. Riders did a good job of staying two abreast up to the lights by the ferries, but then I ...

Re: OBB-WHEELERS SATURDAY RIDE REPORT
Oh today's Wheeler's Saturday ride was a doozie!! It being my first OBB ride in a while I wasn't sure what to expect, but prior to the ride I got a big morale boost when Scottie told me that he'd be looking for any opportunity to turn the screws to me. Likewise, Chopper Dan gave me a long winded sto...

Re: new 2015 kits? opinions?
I think the plain blue looks rad. I just like how simple it looks, and how it's not too flashy. Low pro. Mike, you should talk to Karl about pulling down one of his jerseys that he's got mounted on the stairs at OBB, but just as a heads up, I asked him if I could wear one to race Bastion in and he t...

Off Season Training
It's a good idea to stay active in the off season, and try different sports to maintain your fitness. I'm thinking of giving this sport a try:

Re: Kona Kup BCs
Such an awesome course. It had a lot of everything that makes a cross course great. I loved how that one twisty climb on the grass turned into a run-up after 3-4 laps. One thing I've been thinking about is how races like this aren't the most fun for everyone though... lapped traffic was definitely a...

COTR @ Shawnigan Lake
From Ian Craib regarding the COTR race up at Shawnigan. I'll be helping out with course set-up on Saturday if anyone wants to carpool from Victoria, and hopefully beginner timing if anyone wants to heckle kids with me. ------------------------------------------ For the November event to be a success...

Re: COTR 2014: Bear Cross
Well said Trev. Such a good vibe at these races.
I finally got my cross bike, so I won't be racing on the MTB anymore. Although on the mountain bike I didn't have to unclip once on Sunday.
See you all on Wednesday night!

Re: COTR Cumberland
One of the best battles I've ever had. Craig and I separated ourselves from any chasers on lap one and tested and attacked each other through 51 min of pain. I gapped him by taking the jump option line and by bunnyhopping the barriers, but Craig would gap me through the BMX section and on the open p...
