Re: OBB-WHEELERS SATURDAY RIDE REPORT
5/13/17 A large contingent of riders showed up for this weeks edition of the OBB Saturday ride Belgian classic edition. Fenders were few and far between, and most people were dressed for a reasonably warm, cloudy day. Around ten minutes in the first drops started to fall. Riders remained hopeful tha...

Re: Disc brakes
Even if you aren't riding in the wet too often disc brakes will stop your rims from wearing down, which is a pretty great excuse to ride some spiffy carbon wheels year round. Hydraulic brakes also mean you'll have two fewer cables to change, and you won't have to worry about sticky cables impairing ...

Tour de Bloom Stage 2 cat 1/2
Saturday morning, with the Friday's race still fresh in the legs, we set off for stage two of the Tour de Bloom. Stage 2 consisted of a 6.5km 500m+ hill climb which essentially boiled down to a mass start uphill time trial. We went off at the gun (or whistle in this case) at a bit of an absurd sprin...

Tour de Bloom Stage 1 cat 1/2
Stage one of TdB started near the quaint, Bavarian themed, Leavenworth Wa. The sun was out for what was, despite some of the locals complaints about the cold, the warmest race we've attended this year. The course was a single 84km loop with a rolling start, a long and gradual (1-2%) descent, a long ...

Jeremy's Roubaix
Jeremy's Roubaix: the West coast gravel counterpart to the legendary Hell of the North. Nick, Jackson, and I arrived at the course to pre-ride on Saturday in cold, rainy conditions. The course consisted of an extremely flat 9km loop with a large stretch of fairly smooth gravel each lap. The finishin...

Spring Classic Atomic Long
Feeling strong after Bradner on Saturday, despite an unfortunate flat, and with Nick coming off a second place finish we were feeling pretty optimistic for the Atomic long race on Sunday. Without a chance to preride the course we had no idea what to expect for the race. We were slated to race 6 laps...

Spring Series Mar 25+26th
Saturday started off nicely with the Thunderbird road race. A little bit of sun made a huge difference in how enjoyable the racing was. Nick, Jackson, and I were racing with the Cat 4s and looking for upgrade points. An 11 lap race of a 6k course made this a pretty short but scrappy race. The three ...
