Spring Series Thunderbird Long "Classic"
Wishes of the clear weather coming in early where no to be, today's race was begun in the cold rain. Which made for slick corners and hesitant peloton. BC Road Champs Cat3
After not hearing back from BC cycling about my upgrade to Cat2, and worrying they might not accept my VCL results as valid for upgrade points, I opted last minute to go over the the mainland for the BC Road Champs. I was the lone Wheeler in Cat3's again, but was joined by a couple fellow Islanders ...

Wheelers Wheeling Windy Windsor Park (May 1st 2016)
Summer vibes greated the Wheelers at Windsor Park today, along with Discovery Coffee and Yonni's Donuts. During a quick warmup along waterfromt the game plan was hatched. With 6 rocking the blue and gold, we split into teams of two, Trev and Kristoff (Eugene), ARuss and Geoff, and then myself and St...

On Sunday I lined up as the lone wheeler at the Escape Velocity Spring Series Wix Brown road race. The race was 14 laps of a 6.3km loop featuring about 70m of climbing, also wind, lots and lots of wind. Hurricane Ridge
The day started early for my first ascent of Hurricane Ridge, rolling out at 5am to make sure I made the ferry. Being there with plenty of time to spare allowed me to get my first dose of caffeine for the trip ahead and take my seat among the 100+ other spandex clad Shit Cyclists of Victoria (soon t...
