Today's race conditions could not have been more different than last year. Last year racers were welcomed with snow, freezing temperatures, and hard packed ground. Today was wet and slick but warmer in comparison.

The B race had a fairly good turnout considering the weather. I had an excellent start and was able to take the lead before the first turn. I was able to hold the lead for about a lap and push a fast pace. Then the initial effort quickly caught up to me and I paid for it the rest of the race and was barely able to hold on to a top 10.

Fun and painful race and I'm looking forward to a boxing day tt.
